Used for general structural building when constructing stud walls and partitions or in framework. Treated Studs Ridgeons timber studs are supplied treated to guard against insect attack or decay. When a timber stud is cut the end should be re-treated. Machined Timber studs are machine finished or regularised for ease of handling and to provide the customer with a regular consistent size.

Strength Grading
Ridgeons and CLS timber studs are graded to C16 strength grading.

• Strength Class C24
• Meets Building Regulations for internal structural applications
• Grading is for strength purposes not for appearance
• Splits or shakes in the centre of the timber do not affect strength

Timber Naming
All Ridgeons timber is named for easy identification of the products features;

Type of Timber: Construction timber
Nominal Dimension: In millimetres (the original dimension before sanding / machining)
Finished Dimension: In millimetres (the dimension after sanding / machining)
Machined: Machine sanded or regularised
Kiln Dried: Dried to 20% moisture
Treated: Treated against insect attack or decay
Strength Grading: C16 or C24
Chain of Custody: FSC or PEFC
