At all Ridgeons branches we carry an extensive range of nails for all building projects which are available to order online today and cover the following;

Annular Ring Shank Nails -
A nail with stronger holding power than a smooth nail because the wood fibres fill the crevasses along the side of the nail. Commonly used in softer woods where splitting is unlikely.

Galvanised Clout & Felt Nails -
A commonly used nail used for a variety of exterior and interior building purposes like; cabinet making, roof shingles, box construction etc. However with the nail being galvanised it is ideal for external use.

Galvanised Round Head Wire Nails -
A general purpose nail used in carpentry where appearance is not critical but strength is. Being galvanised it is ideal for external use.

Lost Head Nails -
Normally a long nail requiring some care when being hammered otherwise it bends. Unlikely to split wood it can be punched below the surface hiding the head.

Masonry Nails -
There are three types of masonry nails for use with concrete and concrete block. These nails to not give a strong bond so should not be used where this is a requirement.
