Ridgeons, East Anglia’s largest independent Timber and Builders Merchants has raised an incredible £51,253.78 for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH), the company’s chosen charity for 2017-2019.
Ridgeons initially set a target of £30,000 over the two-year partnership. With the help from both colleagues and customers this was exceeded by over £20,000.
Colleagues across all branches have taken part in various fundraising activities including; cycle rides, football matches, sponsored shaves and leg waxing. Branches have also held in-store collections, raffles and cake sales. Some colleagues have taken time out to volunteer at EACH events and participated in Bag It, Bring It, Boost IT, EACH’s clothes recycling programme.
The money raised will help EACH to provide care & support to terminally ill children across East Anglia as well as offering support to their family members.
